Banganpalli mango is the most well-known kind grown in Andhra Pradesh, India. Banganapalli mangoes have a sweet flavour and a fiber-free, meaty pulp. They are delicious, with thin skin and extremely small markings, which adds to their charm. The fruit is characterised as obliquely oval in shape, around 20cm long, with yellow flesh and a thin, smooth yellow skin. The flesh has a strong, meaty texture, tastes sweet, and lacks fibre. It is a relatively late-season cultivar suitable for canning.
